Terms of Service
SNF Desk LLC · Effective November 3, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (and the organization you use Lateral Desk for) and SNF Desk LLC, which operates Lateral Desk ("Lateral Desk", "we"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
Lateral Desk is a subscription sourcing and recruiting research tool for the California legal market. It organizes public-record information about California attorneys, law firms and legal-services offices, and gives your team a private workspace (roles, pipelines, notes and tasks).
2. Accounts
- Each user needs their own account. Don't share sign-ins; add a seat instead.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us at once at nissim@abramsonlabor.com if you think it has been compromised.
- Your organization's admin controls who is on your team and their roles, and can remove users.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to: resell, sublicense or publish the data or the service as a competing database; scrape or bulk-download beyond your plan's export limits; use the service to harass anyone, or to contact people in violation of the California Rules of Professional Conduct, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, privacy or similar laws; use the data for employment, credit, insurance, housing or other eligibility decisions (this is not a consumer reporting service and must not be used as one under the Fair Credit Reporting Act); try to access another organization's data or get around access controls; or reverse-engineer or overload the service.
4. Data and accuracy
The data comes from public records and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Verify anything you rely on, including license status, with the official source. See the Disclaimer.
5. Your content
Roles, candidates, notes, pipeline records and files you add ("your content") stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you. You're responsible for having the right to add them, including any personal information about third parties.
6. Our property
The service, software and our compilation and design belong to us and our licensors. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-transferable right to use them for your organization's internal recruiting while your subscription is active. Data you export within your plan's limits may be used internally; it may not be republished or resold.
7. Plans and payment
Paid plans, trials, renewals, cancellations and refunds are covered by the Subscription terms, which are part of these terms. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial that converts to the paid plan unless you cancel before it ends. All sales are final; no refunds. You can cancel anytime and your plan stays active through the end of the paid period.
8. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and cancel any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails to pay, or puts the service or other customers at risk. We'll tell you when we reasonably can. After an account closes we may delete your content.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, data or hires. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the service or your content, including outreach you send.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
13. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Questions: nissim@abramsonlabor.com.
